The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, launched in 2015 to rank higher education institutions across the country. It provides a transparent and objective framework for assessing institutions based on key parameters such as Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception. NIRF aims to promote quality, accountability, and excellence in higher education, enabling students and stakeholders to make informed decisions while encouraging institutions to continuously improve their performance
