The PG Department of Physics at Ansar Women's College, Perumpilavu, presents a Peer Teaching session on November 28, 2025, at 9:30 AM. Three MSc Physics students - Geethu P.A., Shamsiya V.N., and Fida Fatima - will share insights on Solid State Physics, Astro Physics, and Thermodynamics.  The alumni talk was organized by the department of Physics to provide students with an opportunity to learn from the experiences of a distinguished alumnus.
The alumni talk was given by Saranya Sasikumar Doctoral student at Tohoku University, Japan and it was a huge success, providing students with a unique opportunity to learn from a distinguished alumnus. The event was well-organized, and the speaker's presentation was engaging and informative.

 


   

 Pg department of Physics In collaboration with kadavallur Kudumbasree CDS unit organised an Led bulb making and repairing workshop on 14/2/25  from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Around 50 CDS members participated and made led bulbs of their own.The program was successfully completed and 28 bulbs were sold there and an amount of 1680rs was collected and given to college.

 


As a part of International day for women and girls(Feb 11) ,the PG department of Physics, Ansar Women’s college organized an international webinar on 19th February 2021 in which Dr. Reshma Raveendran, post doctoral fellow, at Technical University, Dresden, Germany was invited as the chief guest.The Topic for the webinar was ‘ The Orientation of research in Science and Talk on organic FET : Promises and Challenges ‘

PG Department of Physics and Energy Conservation Cell organized a Webinar on topic ‘ Basics of Energy Management and Overview of different types of Renewable Energy’ on Dec 14th 2020 as an observation of World Energy Conservation Day.The session was handled by Govind S Menon ,Research and Development Head,Team Sustain Energy Limited , Cochin . BSc and MSc students of the department participated in the webinar. Students prepared an awareness video and released in department YouTube Channel

On behalf of ozone day ,PG Department Of Physics & Energy Conservation Cell organized a cartoon making competition SCIENCE VISION 2020. Being pandemic crisis, participants were instructed to perform their works from home. Students from other institutions also participated in the competition. Posters regarding the competition were distributed among Whats app groups to ensure the participation of the students with effect from 9-9-2020.

 

 


 

On 11th August, the PG Dept of Physics organised a National Webinar on the topic Laser Materials Processing. The chief guest of the session was Dr.M Jamal Mohamed Jaffar, HOD of Physics Dept, Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirapalli

 

 

 

 


     

 

 

 

 

  The PG Dept of Physics conducted a set of programs on 27th July as a tribute to Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, on his 5th remembrance day. The program was titled as Tribute to the Laudable Geezer. A quiz competition was contacted online through Google forms which the participants can enter through links provided. A Calligraphy Competition was also conducted which brought out the inner talents of the students


A Photo collage competition was conducted based on Environment day and students were asked to merge the photos and make a meaningful sentence and competition was open from 21st till 27th of May.

Smash with trash video contest was conducted based on waste management. The primary aim was to make people aware of how to manage wastes and create the best out of it. This program was done on 13th of June. Participants were asked to reuse things to make something new.
