As part of the academic enrichment initiatives, the PG Department of Psychology, Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu, organized a Bridge Course titled “Bridging Mind and Body” for students on Friday, 18 July, at the Conference Hall. The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the interconnection between psychological processes and physiological functioning, thereby strengthening their foundational knowledge. The programme was led by Ms. Athira P., Assistant Professor of Physiology, who provided insightful explanations linking mental health with bodily systems. Through an engaging and interactive approach, the session helped students gain a holistic perspective on mind–body integration and supported their academic transition and overall learning experience.

The session aimed to familiarize students with the scope, structure, and career relevance of the add-on courses offered by the department. Dr. Siraj P. Hussain, Chairman, GADE Kerala, served as the Resource Person and provided insightful guidance on the importance of specialized training in the fields of learning disabilities and counselling practice. The orientation highlighted the courses Diploma in Management of Learning Disabilities and Counselling Practitioner Course (Beginner to Advanced), emphasizing their practical applications and professional opportunities. The programme effectively motivated students to enhance their competencies, bridge academic learning with professional skills, and make informed career choices.

The workshop was led by Mr. Shimil P. V., Head of the Department, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, and Research Scholar at Christ University, who served as the Resource Person. The session focused on enhancing students’ understanding of research writing, including topic selection, structuring research papers, academic writing standards, and ethical considerations in research. The workshop provided practical insights and clarity, equipping students with essential skills for academic research and higher studies, while fostering confidence in scholarly writing.
As part of the student development initiatives, the PG Department of Psychology, Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu, organized an Alumni Talk titled “From Campus to Career: My Journey Begins” on 16 July 2025 at the Conference Hall. The session aimed to inspire students by providing real-life insights into career development and professional growth after graduation. The programme featured Ms. Shereena N. M., School Counselor, Ansar English School, as the Chief Guest, who shared her personal academic and professional journey with the students. The interactive talk offered valuable guidance, motivation, and practical perspectives, encouraging students to plan their careers with confidence and clarity while strengthening alumni–student connections.
As part of the student orientation and development initiatives, the PG Department of Psychology, Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu, organized the UG First Year Induction Programme titled “Design Your Future” on 11 July 2025 at the College Auditorium and Conference Hall. The programme was conducted for first-year students of Commerce, Arts, and Science streams with the objective of familiarizing them with the academic environment, institutional values, and future career pathways. The session was led by faculty members including Ms. Sahla P. S., Ms. Jiji B. J., Ms. Rysfana Rahiman, and Ms. Noora Hanan, Assistant Professors of the department. The induction programme provided students with guidance, motivation, and clarity regarding their academic journey, encouraging them to set goals, develop confidence, and actively engage in campus life.
As part of the academic orientation activities, the PG Department of Psychology, Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu, organized a Bridge Course titled “The Mind Odyssey” on Monday, 21 July, at Room No. 24. The session was designed to introduce students to the foundational concepts of psychology and to stimulate curiosity about the functioning of the human mind. The programme was led by Ms. Rysfana Rahiman, Assistant Professor of Psychology, who guided students through an engaging exploration of psychological perspectives and concepts. The interactive session encouraged active participation, reflection, and discussion, thereby supporting students in their academic transition and fostering a deeper interest in the discipline.
