The Audio Visual and Film club is an enthusiastically working team which provides platform for students to learn and explore the world of movies, photography, advertising, news, documentaries, short films etc. All students from Mass Communication and Journalism department and English department are members of the club.
OBJECTIVES:
To equip students with the necessary skills to become smart journalists.
To impart skills of using camera and other tools.
To instil qualities required for editing and creative writing.
To use digital tools to make teaching-learning more interesting.
To attract and retain learner’s attention by integrating technology into the classroom.
To organize visits to printing press, Ad agencies and TV enterprises.

The PIXOICE club in association with Mass Communication and Journalism Department conducted an online interactive session with Film Director and Writer G. Prajesh Sen on 15th September 2021 at 10 am through the online platform Zoom.
An E-Magazine ‘CANTIK’ compiled by S3 BA MC students was also officially released in this session by our honorable guest.
The interactive session based on the theme ‘Real and Reel’ was a successful session where the students interacted with the guest by asking very interesting questions about his life and career along with questions related to filmmaking. Our enthusiastic guest Prajesh sir answered all the queries vividly.
The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism in association with Pixoice Audio-Visual and Film club conducted a Photo Essay Contest for students during the month of June 2020. The topic of the contest was Transformation.

In connection with World Audio Visual Heritage Day, the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and Pixoice Audio Visual and Film club jointly organized an online photography workshop on 28th October 2020. Well-known Photographer and Photojournalist, Mr. Sreejith M K handled the workshop for students through Google meet.
