Centres and Cells

The world is facing a global energy crisis .there is a large demand for energy and in absence of immediate solutions for generating clean and safe energy,it is necessary to use energy generated from existing sources more judiciously .This requirement of using present energy sources more judiciously is main motivation for starting energy conservation cell. The college signed a collaboration with energy conservation society (ECS) in 2017 and the energy conservation cell was constituted in our college in the year 2017-2018.ECS is a premier Non governmental voluntary organization committed to the cause of promoting energy conservation,environmental protection

Activities

A Video was released by Energy Conservation Cell in collaboration with Physics Department on 20^th August 2021 as a part of Akshay Urj Divas observance. A Poster Making Competition was conducted on 16^th September 2021 as a part of World Ozone Day observance. A webinar on Solar Panel Installation was conducted on 23^rd November 2021. The webinar was handled by Dr K Soman, President of Energy Conservation Society. Energy Consumption Survey was conducted in connection with Energy Conservation Day on 14^th December 2021. A Talk Forum was conducted on 10^th March 2022 by ECS as a part of International Solar Appreciation Day.
