ASPIRE WITH ANSAR: Book& Studykit Distribution

The Post Graduate Department of English conducted 'ASPIRE WITH ANSAR: Book & Studykit distribution 'Extension activity on 27thJuly,2016 at LMUP School Perumpilavu.The aim of the extension activity was to aid economically backward students of Govt.Schools in the locality to aspire to study.

Students had contributed books (Literature classics, autobiographies of eminent personalities, travelogues etc.) and a small fund was also collected. With this collected fund, Fifteen Studykits comprising notebooks, pens, pencil, crayons, erasers, pouch etc.were purchased and distributed to deserving children of the school.

The teachers and students visited the school and spent some quality time with the children there.The books and study kits were gifted to the kids there in the presence of the teachers and HeadMistress. Story-telling and Quiz competitions were conducted as an attempt to inculcate in these  young minds a love for English Language & Literature. Much to the pleasure of our volunteers,the children participated with much zeal and enthusiasm.They sang songs and had a good time.

A counseling session was also provided for the students.The day proved to be indeed quite fruitful and beneficial for both sides.
