This symposium served as a platform for exploring new approaches, enhancing teaching methodologies, and broadening the scope of English language education in the current academic landscape.

A oneday seminar was conducted on the topic "Gender Sensitive Education : Let's Rethink the Norms" on 3rd March 2022. Divyakrishna, HOD, English Department, MD College, Pazhanji was the resource person.

NATIONAL WEBINAR ON GENDER SENSITIZATION
A National Webinar on Gender Sensitization was conducted by the department in collaboration with Women Cell and sponsored by mentor institution, Little Flower College, Guruvayoor.

Bridge course conduct in every year for the first year students to bridge the gap between secondary education and University education. It helps the students to be prepared for the higher education.

National Webinar on Disquisition on Survival Literature was conducted in which Dr. C G Shyamala, Assistant Prefessor in Research Department of English, Mercy College Palakkad gave a detailed note on the scope and significance of survival literature.

In Collaboration with Centre for English Studies and Research, PG Department of English organized ‘KEATS’ EVE’ on 23rd February 2020, commemorating the 200th Death Anniversary of John Keats. Miss Fathima Musthafa(S2 MA English) recited Keats’ poem on the occasion. Prof. P N Prakash (President CESR), Prof. Dr. Nisha Francis Alappat (HOD, English Department, Vimala College, Thrissur) and many prominent personalities share their valuable words on the occasion.
PG Department of English had conducted a National Webinar on 24th July 2020 on the topic DISQUISTION ON SURVIVAL LITERATURE. Dr. C G Shyamala, Assistant Professor, Research Department of English, Mercy College Palakkad was the resource person. There were around 480 participants from various States. E- certificates were given to all the participants.
Literary Club of PG Department of English conducted a Book Review Video Contest on 10th June 2020 as a part of Readers Day Observation. The objective of the programme was to inculcate reading habit in students and to enable them to think critically. Fathima Salha of S5 B Sc. Physics bagged First prize by reviewing Danielle Steel’s Journeyand Second prize was won by Shareen Saleem of S3 BSc. Psychology for reviewing When Breath becomes Air by Dr. Paul Kalanithi. Response of the students made us believe that the objective of the programme was attained.
