EXTENSION ACTIVITY OF 2018-19

WORLD SAVINGS DAY OCTOBER 31, 2018

              The  PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies and Extension Cell jointly organised a campaign TREASURE TROVE 2018 to promote the habit of saving as a part of observing  World Savings Day on October 31, 2018. In today's changing world scenario and the young generation starting their earnings from a young age, it has become impertinent to inculcate a habit of saving for their future. The motto of the campaign was ‘SAVE MONEY SAVE FUTURE SECURE LIFE”.

               The program was inaugurated by Ms. Faritha J, Principal, Ansar women’s College, Perumpilavu at Perumpilavu. The program was inaugurated from the house of Mrs Subaida. Principal and HOD of Department of Commerce and Management studies talked about the importance of savings and the benefits from it. A team of students were selected for this campaign.

              As a part of the campaign, our volunteers went to the neighbourhood localities and visited the houses, explaining and  promoting saving habits. The program mainly focused on the house wives. The students gave awareness for the habit of savings and how to start a post office savings account to save for future even with a small amount. Our students have succeeded in imparting their knowledge about savings deposit plans and opportunities to secure the future even for individuals with low income. The campaign was a great success.
