Journalism was initially offered as a complementary paper in the BA English program at Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu. Recognizing the importance of nurturing dedicated and ethically motivated media professionals in our mass-mediated society, the college established the BA Mass Communication and Journalism program in 2013. Since then, the department has achieved remarkable success, with graduates excelling in various media and academic fields. In 2024, building on this foundation, the college introduced a postgraduate course in Journalism and Mass Communication, further enriching the educational opportunities for aspiring media professionals and reinforcing our commitment to cultivating talent in this dynamic field.
