The event was inaugurated by Favour Francis, Brand consultant,founder of OBW India educator. alongside distinguished chief guests Fasil Muhammad, director of Feminichi Fathima, Aamir Pallikkal, director of Ayisha, and Dr. V. Hikmathullah, writer and assistant professor Adding to the significance of the event, Dr. Faritha J, principal of the college, delivered the presidential address, setting the tone for an inspiring and insightful gathering. The presence of these eminent guests enriched the occasion, making it a remarkable platform for discussions on media, creativity, and knowledge sharing.
Vanguard Film Festival
The PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication ] hosted the Vanguard Film Festival, featuring Najeeb Muhammad, the real-life inspiration behind Aadujeevitham. Principal Dr. Faritha J delivered the presidential address. A discussion forum, with Najeeb Muhammad led by Greeshma (Assistant Professor, Ansar College), with key contributions from Librarian Yahiya C.

Visionary Voyage: Skill Development Program in Association with 'Walk with a Scholar'
Ansar Women’s College successfully conducted Visionary Voyage, a skill development program in collaboration with the Walk with a Scholar initiative. The session was led by Mr. Muhammed Musthafa, Research Scholar at the University of Calicut, who provided valuable insights into career growth, academic excellence, and personal development. The program aimed to equip students with essential skills, foster critical thinking, and inspire them to achieve their professional aspirations. Through interactive discussions and expert guidance, participants gained practical knowledge to navigate their academic and career journeys with confidence.

In connection with International Women’s Day Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and Pixoice Audio Visual and Film club organized a Live Collage Competition on the topic Empowering Women. Four groups of students from different departments participated in the Competition held at Prayer hall on 08th March 2021. The PG Department of Commerce and Management and Department of Mass Communication and Journalism won the first and second prize respectively

In connection with World Audio Visual Heritage Day the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and Pixoice Audio Visual and Film club jointly organized an online photography workshop on 28th October 2020. Well known Photographer and Photo Journalist Mr. Sreejith M K handled the workshop for students through Google meet

The Department conducted a webinar on 13th August 2020. K.A. Shaji, Environmental Journalist, Mongabay India led the webinar with a seminar on the topic Responsible Journalism during Covid 19 Pandemic. The programme conducted through Google meet and Youtube live video. Participation certificate (E-certificate) provided to all participants who filled out feedback form at the end of the programme

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism in association with Pixoice Audio-Visual and Film club conducted a Photo Essay Contest for students during the month of June 2020. The topic of contest was Transformation. The deadline for entries was on or before 20th June. Students actively participated in the competition. Shehriya M K of Final year BCom CA won the first prize and Mubashira Yousuf of Final year BA MC won the second prize in the contest.
