The Department of Mathematics of Ansar Women’s College conducted an Essay Writing Competition among the college students on 15th October 2021 as a part of observing World Student’s Day.The World Student’s Day is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The UN had declared his birthday as the World Students’ day to honor his hard work, dedication, and determination that comprised his remarkable life. Kalam was a dedicated teacher and identified himself foremost in that role before anything else. His love for students, finds the best voice when he said, “Dream, Dream, Dream, Dreams transform into thoughts. And thoughts result in action”.The Topic of the competition was “Pros and Cons of Modern Education. Are students being stressed out?”.Nusrath T from S3 BSc Physics secured the first position, FarhathNasrin from S3 MA English secured the second position and Hasna K from S3 MA English secured the third position. The students of various departments of the college actively participated in the competition and the essays sent by them discussed various measures to relax students.
